Scenario: Ability to "re-run" historical instances
planned
Cor Schutte
When a scenario runs into an error it would be useful to be able to run it again using the same trigger.

Thank your insights and discussion related to this idea. Our development team is currently working on underlying services that are required for us to deliver on this idea. Specifically, we expect to provide capabilities that would allow a user to re-run a single webhook event multiple times.
Apache Truyts
instead of just a rerun a single webhook event.
We should be able to just go to history and say: repeat/rerun this specific run.
When will we receive a deadline?
This is long overdue.

I'm surprised to see that there's no way to do this in a mature product like Make.

Is there any update on this?
Uno De Waal
any plans here? This would save so much time and effort. Zapier has this where you can use output data from a previous step and use that in the steps further down without having to re-run the entire flow.
Currently, in testing I use up API calls in my entire flow EACH time I test another step. This is highly frustrating and would be a core reason for me to not use Make.

808 votes now - the forum post that linked me here said it had 500 so i dont know how this is not being run at the moment/

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but you can re-run a specific execution. The link above that says "Choose Where To Start" is an option. It's a couple more clicks:
- Right click the trigger module
- Select "Choose Where To Start"
- Select "Choose Manually"
- Select the value at the top
- Click okay, and re-run
This will re-run with whatever was pulled during that run. It would be nice to just have a "re-run" button as it helps even if there were no errors, but at least there's a workaround? This may be why they haven't prioritized a "re-run" option.

Why in the world is this not a feature? 788 upvotes and definitely sure there are going to be more
Is this a test/incentive to help us setup perfect scenarios on the first go?
:(

So I just found something of a ratch to get it to ask you if you use new or existing data.
Before trying to run again, select to edit your trigger. You dont need to edit anything, just open the edit window on the trigger, then save it.
To to "Run Once" it should give you the option of using existing data to trigger

This feature should really be implemented. Very annoying to have to pull new data when testing.

Darin Patterson Hellllooooooo? 763 votes and 18 months later and we still can’t re-run a scenario? What is going on? What is the hold up? If there is a technical limitation that the team is running into, maybe it’s time to put it out to the community for specific resolution ideas?

We are still waiting for an update...
