Rebrand Make back to Integromat
not planned

It's nearly impossible to search on the internet (e.g. Google) using keywork "make" in order to refer to make.com and not the verb make.

As a new user to Make searching for help is a nightmare. I usually just search for my problem + "zapier" to see if I can use the info I find on Make.

this!!!!!
it would also save the completely overrun customer support allot of time.

Change is never easy. Especially if you were used to another name. But clearly, the team thought a bit further ahead than the initial 12 months before purchasing a +$2-5m domain name and initiating a vast rebranding process.
I personally disregarded Integromat as a discount version of Zapier, until this rebranding came along. This new brand name is what will enable Make to achieve new heights and widen the top of the funnel enough to turn Make into a mainstream product, and not a nerd product.
Will it give short-term hiccups? Certainly.
Many other platforms did the same and overcame the issues. Monday, Sketch, Notion, Zoom, Meta for starters. Highjacking Make is ambitious, possible and a genius choice 🧠🤝

Nio Liyanege: search online for information about how to execute certain tasks with make. see how easy you find it.

Apache Truyts: With that logic, brand improvements are never a good idea, as there will always be interim periods of adjustments.
Everything has a beginning. Is it easy at the moment? No. Will it be easier in the future? Without a doubt.
- Give the internet a chance to adopt the new branding.
- New clients to come in, who are not jaded by the old brand
- And for the team to adjust and target the new marketing strats.

Nio Liyanege: You are probably right.
But my point is just that the word they choose litteraly is one of the most used words in sentences googled when it comes to finding stuff out.
So in that regard it will not help...
Nio Liyanege
Apache Truyts: It's a feature, not a bug friend. Give it some time. Turned out well for Monday, and paid off big time.
Apache Truyts
Nio Liyanege: That's a very good point.
Time will indeed tell.
Thanks for your input.

Nio Liyanege: It's not about the change. This was never mentioned.
"I personally disregarded Integromat as a discount version of Zapier...", oh yes, you never worked with it, now it's clear.
Also please don't be fooled by survivorship bias.
PS: I am also not a fool and do not think they will ever rebrand back to Integromat. It does not make sense. I just wanted to give them honest feedback from long term (soon ex) user.

Also when talking about it, nobody understands that "make" is the actual name of the tool.

Integromat was a great name. It speaks of integrations and integrity. Make is a meaningless name that should be left behind. I'm sure someone thought they were MAKING a great choice in renaming the org as Make, but it was not at all a great choice. Make is generic, ambiguous, un-trademarkable, hard to search for and hard to talk about. Time to bring back Integromat!

I faced the same problem! They will lose out a lot of SEO traffic. Just because they wanted a cool name
