Let users choose how to pan/zoom in their scenario
Yannick
Recently, Make suddenly switched to right mouse button and drag to pan around in your scenario, while previously it was left mouse. Surely this will take time to get used to, and cause for frustration among users who have worked for years with left mouse button. Same goes for track pad, where you now have to use two fingers.
The most straight forward solution would be to let users choose themselves under "preferences", under "input device".

The new navigation stays as the default, but you will no longer be locked to pan with right click only. We added a setting to choose how you pan the canvas:
- Mouse: pan with right click or left click
- Trackpad/Touchpad: the same choice, so you can pan with a single finger drag if you prefer
We have also made it easier to select several modules by dragging a selection box on the canvas, on both mouse and trackpad/touchpad.
Here is the documentation: https://help.make.com/canvas-interaction-model
Thanks for caring about Make enough to tell us when something is not working. It genuinely shapes what we build.

I feel the same way. It would be best to let the user choose how to navigate through their scenario.

100% agree. It breaks my way of working so many times a day. Does not fix anything and needs to be reverted.

Absolute garbage UI change.

This is absolutely the worst update of all time

100% agreed. This was the WORST Make update in 2 years that I have been using the platform. It completely breaks my flow state and causes mental friction. Every single time that I want to pan I have to change to a new default now, right-click. The default should be the left-click button to pan around. This is bad user experience. Only if users want to change, they should have the option to change. Please let us choose instead of forcing this new change to everyone without asking.

Yes, this was a bad decision. As someone who has only been using make for about 2 months now I am already used to left click to drag. Not just because that's the way make used to do it but that's how almost every program that has a similar interface has always done it. It is almost always left mouse to drag. Right click is so unintuitive. Hope this gets reverted quickly.
