Connections: Prevent requesting credentials from others when setting connections (including OAuth)

In some situations you don't want to just send credentials to colleagues or you want to prevent colleagues from even seeing login credentials of your accounts. It would be nice if you could invite someone via email to authenticate for a connection.

Thank you for great inputs! With the new Credential Requests feature, you can now request credentials from others by sharing a secure link via email without ever sharing raw login details or keys.
Plus, if you send credential requests frequently, you can automate them using the Credential Requests API.

Yes yes yes yes. This would be amazing. See this happening already at Databox, works great.
In the case I need to make an connection for a client I have to ask him/her the credentials, save them & and make the connection.
Would be better If I can just request that the client sets up the connection him/her self. I e-mail them, they click the link, make the connection, boom done.
Same case when we need to refresh the connection.

Martijn Snels: Do you refer to setting up OAuth connections?
Martijn Snels
Michal Máša: All types to be honest. For invited credentials it would be best if it would also be masked for other users in the logs when the credentials were obtained via an invite.
