QuickBooks webhook delay needs to be improved. This is offered by QuickBooks as an option but Make isn’t using it yet.

Make’s QuickBooks webhook triggers for “New Event” and “New Payment” are waaaay too slow. It takes QuickBooks anywhere from 5-25 minutes to notify Make of a change in QuickBooks, and this is primarily because Make has misconfigured their webhook settings on Intuit’s servers. As you can see from the sceeenshot below, QuickBooks offers Make’s engineers the ability to reduce the delay of the webhook notifications down to 1 minute, but Make has not taken advantage of this option. Can Make please take advantage of this setting, so that we can get QuickBooks triggers moving faster?

Hi Scott, our previous setting for Quickbooks was at 5 minutes. We just updated this to 1 minute.

Hi Darin Patterson, it looks like this problem has resurfaced again. We are now waiting 10-15 minutes before QuickBooks is reporting any new events to us in Make. Since December 2023 when you fixed this problem for us, we have been getting instantaneous notifications from QuickBooks (under 1 minute). But as of this week, we are now back to lengthy delays again. Would you mind looking into this for us? Thank you!

Hi Scott Rose. Support is probably the best place to deal with this type of topic. that said, I think you have already reached out to support and we confirmed that we have not made any changes (it's set to deliver "real time") in how our app is configured in Quickbooks ecosystem.
It's feasible there is a delay on Quickbooks' side .
Alternatively, you could setup your own "client" with Quickbooks (you'd use your own client ID / Secret in the Advanced connection settings) and manage this property directly with Quickbooks
