Airtable’s New API
Scott Rose
Airtable is one of the most popular apps on Make, but it doesn’t yet support Airtable’s new API.
Please support Airtable’s new API functionality.
Airtable has gone through a major upgrade of their API’s capabilities. The API now supports webhooks that can instantly notify Make when a record has been deleted, created, or updated.
Airtable’s API also now supports metadata such as creating users, bases, tables, and fields.
There are also many, many other new additions in the new API as well. Full details here: https://airtable.com/developers/web/api/changelog

Hey Scott Rose,
we developed https://www.simplified-webhooks.com doing exactly that. Just search for it in the scenario editor to find out app.
Sebastian explained why Make cannot support expiring webhooks at the moment. We went one step further and also simplified the data structure that you'll receive in Make. Currently, we support 'New', 'Updated' and 'Deleted' Records trigger but some more will follow soon! :)
Best,
Richard

Hi - we did explored the possibility but sadly their webhook will expire every 7 days and cannot do this type of "webhook refresh" implementation. Related session: https://airtable.com/developers/web/api/webhooks-overview#webhook-expiration
A workaround is you can configure a custom webhook, and schedule a scenario to run every 7 days to keep the webhook "refreshed".

Yes, this suggestion should have had more votes if people actually knew this was possible now. I am one of many heavy Airtable users, and still first today I found out that they expanded their limited API 9 months ago. Also believe many new users to Make come with the intention of using Airtable as their data storage, and I remember my own disappointment when missing instant triggers. This can now be fixed 🤞

Is this being worked on? I am wondering why this is still missing. Would such a high benefit :)

An instant trigger would be ultra awesome!
