Thanks for your work on this. GoCardless is a system we use and at the moment it is the only service that make does not intergrate with for us (we're having to use Zapier which is horrible).
For our use, we have triggers when a mandate is created or cancelled which passes the relevant information. It would also be great to have a trigger when a payment is charged, and failed.

It would be cool if one-time direct debit collections could be set up (e.g., with the integration of SevDesk, so that once an invoice is created and the payment type "direct debit" is selected, this invoice, along with the invoice number, etc., is collected via direct debit.
Similarly, it would be cool if there were triggers for events such as the status change of a direct debit collection. For example, if a direct debit fails, to execute an action, or upon success, to send an email, etc.
Retrieving and sending the link for new customers.
And retrieving past payment actions. Possibly adding metadata to customers/payments.

As part of our preparations for the GoCardless app, we'd love to get some background on the specific use-cases you'd like to implement.
Please spare a few minutes to describe in detail what you'd like to accomplish, including what types of GoCardless object you'd like to interact with.
For example:
- Instant trigger when a payment fails, or a customer cancels a direct debit/ACH mandate, or a subscription event occurs
- Set up a new customer
- Set up billing requests
- Instant trigger on payouts, and use the Payout Items API to then enter automatically in your accounting platform

- When the invoice is created an email is sent allowing it to be populated by template to state that the payment will be taken on X date for X amount and then quoting the Direct Debit Guarantee.
- Two days before the direct debit is taken an email reminder is sent to remind.
- integrate with Freeagent who use Go Cardless to avoid duplication.
- Prompt customer that payment has not been successful and will be retried on X date.
